You can not resist neither food nor drinks.

Visitors to the Posavje region are really enthusiastic about the diverse gastronomy of the region. It is hard to decide between the wide range of specialities and regional dishes; for that reason, it is perhaps best to listen to advice of your hosts. There are many places where you can find good food; culinary offer of restaurants is based on regional dishes with natural ingredients. Treat yourself to excellent wines from the Posavje region: you should taste Beli and Rdeči bizeljčan, Modra frankinja, predicate and ice wines and champagne. And do not forget the Slovene wine speciality – Cviček. The Posavje region is a feast for your senses!

Numerous customs and traditions in the Posavje region are closely linked to the superb local dishes. Organisers do their best to prepare other culinary events, which are a unique experience. If the variety of delicacies tempts you stay a bit longer, you can be a guest at a tourist farm and continue enjoying your journey. You can also buy some food souvenirs and even pick up food that was produced according to integrated or special ecological principles.
